The album is a pop CD. - In the early '70s rock stars did not make standards albums, but that's what Nilsson did with this 1973 LP. Tracks 13 to 18 are described as Bonus Tracks in this release.
The orchestra members are not credited for their individual roles and are referred to as "The orchestra, thirty-nine men, sight-readers good and true, leader: Jack Rothstein. The personnel varied from session to session but overall, all of the following played and played good [a list of names follows and then additional members are credited in photos printed in the booklet].
This album was recorded at CTS, The Music Centre, Wembley, London, between March 15th & March 22nd, 1973. It was mixed with a six-word overdub, on April 4, 5 & 6.
The song "This Is All I Ask" [Track 11] was partially re-sung at RCA's New York Studios on April 28 & 29.
The tape engineer, London: Anthony Duggan of CTS. The tape engineers RCA New York: Pat, Mike & Gus. Final remix of this song: CTS May 7.
The final masters were cut by John Smith at Apple Studios London on May 8.
