Digitally remastered edition of the British Pomp Rock band's 1974 album. Sheer Heart Attack, Roger Taylor's favorite Queen album, was released in 1974 and reached #2 in the UK. Prior to this, Queen were mostly considered a heavy Rock band, but this album experimented with a variety of musical genres, including music hall, Heavy Metal, ballads and Ragtime. At this point, Queen started to move away from the progressive tendencies of their first two releases into a more radio-friendly, song-orientated style, illustrated by 'Killer Queen', which was their biggest hit at that point reaching #2 in the UK. It also went to #12 in the US Billboard Charts, the first of many hits there. A song about a high-class call girl, it contains the guitar solo that Brian May is most proud of and won Freddie his first Ivor Novello Award. Island.
Repress of the 2011 remastered album. Released in regular jewel case. Made in the EU. Sony DADC pressing. On the back cover and spine, there is the "Virgin EMI Records" logo instead of Island logo. Island logo on the disc.

This is the third album of the legendary band from England, which was released in 1974. Once I had it on vinyl, then on CD. For some reason I sold them. And again decided to replenish the collection of Queen. A very interesting album. Its name matches the sound. Very intense music. Impressive.

for me, Queen, like Abba, The Electric Light Orchestra and The Beach Boys, were, to a certain extent, a "singles" group. Yes, they released lots of albums, many of the very good too, but it is those great singles that they are known for me in many people's minds. This is album from early period with a lot of hits... Highly recommended

This is one of the greatest albums of the Queen and my beloved album! From this album the group is started their climbing to the stardom of rock'n'roll. Great remastered sound will enjoy any rock fan!

Evgeny K. - 17/Oct/2019 5 of 5 Stars!
It's the first Queen LP I ever heard (and owned) back in the 70-s and even though it might not be their best, I got a soft spot for it and know all lyrics by heart. This 2011 remaster is the best.

A delightful album, classic. Each song is a hit. Queen is the face of English hard rock. Luxurious repress with a huge booklet.

This is my first album from Queen, which I heard! Tenement Funster is my favorite song from Taylor!
