Description:	Die Geschwister Erol, Ahmed und Leyla leben mit ihren Eltern in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Der Vater ist Türke, die Mutter Deutsche. Erol, der die Schule geschmissen hat, lungert meist mit seinen Kumpels auf der Straße herum. Mit kleineren kriminellen Delikten hält er sich finanziell über Wasser. Sein Bruder Ahmet geht aufs Gymnasium und hat eine deutsche Freundin. Mit der Clique seines Bruders hat er nichts am Hut. Die Schwester Leyla ist von ihren beiden grundverschiedenen Brüdern ebenso genervt wie von ihren Eltern und ihrer Lehre. Als Erol einen Einberufungsbescheid vom türkischen Militär bekommt, ist er entschlossen, auch gegen den Willen seiner Eltern den Wehrdienst anzutreten. Er, der perspektivlose Kleinkriminelle, glaubt, mit diesem Schritt die türkische Familienehre retten zu müssen.
