| | Descripción: | Die junge Sängerin Ali (Christina Aguilera) hat eine ungewisse Zukunft vor sich, als sie aus einer kleinen Provinzstadt nach LA kommt, um dort ihre Träume zu verwirklichen. Durch Zufall verschlägt es Ali in die Burlesque Lounge, ein altehrwürdiges aber etwas heruntergekommenes Revuetheater, dessen Besitzerin Tess (Cher) auch der Star ihrer eigenen Show ist. Ali gelingt es, dort einen Job zu ergattern - als Cocktail-Kellnerin. Die sexy-provokanten Kostüme und die gewagte Choreographie der Revue faszinieren das unschuldige Mädchen vom Lande auf Anhieb und Ali schwört sich selbst, dass auch sie dort eines Tages auf der Bühne stehen wird. Ali freundet sich mit einer der Tänzerinnen (Julianne Hough) an, findet eine Rivalin in einer eifersüchtigen Sängerin (Kristen Bell) und gewinnt die Zuneigung von Barkeeper und Musiker Jack (Cam Gigandet). Mit Unterstützung des scharfsinnigen Bühnenmanagers (Stanley Tucci) und eines Transvestiten (Alan Cumming) schafft Ali endlich den Sprung von der Bar auf die Bühne. Ihre spektakuläre Stimmgewalt verhilft der Burlesque Lounge wieder zu altem Glanz.
