Description:	Es war einmal eine Mutter, die hatte zwei Töchter: Marie war fleißig und warmherzig, Luise dagegen faul und garstig.~Wie Frau Holle Pech zu Glück verwandelt, zeigt diese liebenswerte Neuverfilmung des Grimm'schen Märchens. Wie die Geschichte von Frau Holle beginnt, weiß wohl jedes Kind. Im Film erzählt sie Herbert Feuerstein: Eine Witwe (Johanna Gastdorf) hat zwei Töchter. Während Louise schön aber faul ist, erledigt die sanfte und fleißige Marie den ganzen Tag alle Arbeit. Als sie wieder einmal am Brunnen spinnen muss, bis die Finger bluten, und ihr die Spule in den Brunnen fällt, springt das Mädchen aus Angst vor der Mutter einfach hinterher.
