After releasing the masterpieces The Velvet Underground & Nico and White Light/White Heat the band decided to go in a more mellow folky direction. On those two previous albums there were some hints of this on songs such as I'll Be Your Mirror, Sunday Morning, and Here She Comes, but than here they went all the way with that sound. Great compilation...
