Ace producer Sanford Parker has ensured that, at last, sludge maestros Rwake finally get to sound as enormous and powerful as their musical imaginations clearly are. Pleasing to see some indication that Progressive ideas about riff-writing and song-construction have found their way into the band's all-encompassing heaviness and, in the centrepiece track, The Culling, everything has come together to create a sixteen-minute progressive-sludge-doom masterpiece of vast proportions - do not miss this incredible album.
