The Moravian-Slovak Suite is one of his most popular works, evoking an eventful and romance-filled day in a Slovakian village. Recorded here for the first time since it's rediscovery by producer Jirí Stilec, the Two Wallachian Dances further invoke Novák's passion for folk music. de profundis was written during the dark days of the Second World War. It includes an important part for organ which is unleashed with full force in one of the most triumphant conclusions in all of 20th-century music., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Composed By: Vít?zslav Novák, Conductor: Marek ?tilec, Cover: Radoslav ?ernický, Engineer: Václav Roubal, Liner Notes: Richard Whitehouse (2), Orchestra: Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra, Organ: Pavel Svoboda, Producer: Ji?í ?tilec, Labelcode NXS8574369.2 (8.574369), Phonographic Copyright (p) Naxos Rights Europe Ltd, Copyright (c) Naxos Rights Europe Ltd, Published By Mojmir Urbánek, Prague, Published By Czech Masters in Vienna, Published By Hudební Matice Umel?cké Besedy, Prague, Recorded At House of Culture, Ostrava |
