Diver Down (Remastered)

"Diver Down", despite being panned by critics as one of Van Halen's worse albums, wholeheartedly deserves the status it's garnered as a cult classic of the David Lee Roth era.

After four classic albums under their belt, the kings of early 80's hard rock and party excess seem to have a dry run on this, their 5th album: Diver Down. Although it was more or less Warner Bros. fault, the band meant to take a deserved break after years of constant recording and touring and after their very serious and dark album Fair Warning which had only went platinum.

Most people prefer the Dave albums that got the most airplay and are the most recognizable like Van Halen 1 and 1984. But the albums from Van Halen 2 to Diver Down all have a similar format and order and are loaded with creativity. Highly recommended
