Beschreibung:This is the story of Red Wortham's Bullet and Sur-Speed labels of the 1950 s and 1960 s. Bullet was one of the first and initially most successful of the post-war independent labels, but they were out of business by 1950. Red reactivated the Bullet label in the late 1950s and started the Sur-Speed imprint as a sister label in the early 1960 s. This reissue is a fascinating window into the rough and ready independent record world of the mid-20th Century. It's also a wonderful companion piece to the Grammy-winning "Night Train to Nashville" set as it features several of the same artists in the same time frame.
