Azmi H. - 25.08.2022 Not only does this retain the guts, and aggressiveness of Eternal Nightmare, but this release is more refined and organised, with big record label polish. Clearly, the band has matured, and has focused more on musical structure here, instead of just a crazy thrash onslaught.
| | Yuriy P. - 01.08.2018 After spending a whole year touring in his native America and visiting even Europe, "Vio-lence" got to the studio and recorded their second record - "Oppressing the Masses". At first the album was conceived as a ten-song album, but for some reason 2 tracks were discarded (one, and very much in vain). I must say, the guys gained experience on trips, realizing that having only fast songs in the set list as a debut, they will quickly get tired :). So the album turned out to be slower than the previous one (quite a bit), and, as a result, the energy was diminished. But on the album there was added stiffness, heaviness, and, of course, aggression. Completes the picture that the sound quality has increased at times: it's not the same raw sound that was on the previous work, no, it's already crystal-clear sound! :) Well, let's move on to the lyrics, and then directly to the music. Texts are devoted to the relationship between man and society: the hero is dissatisfied with the system of law and order, then dissatisfied that there are people richer than him, then he goes completely mad, then he believes that all the power in whiskey. And the hero finds a way out natural - "get drunk, I'll fuck all and take everyone to a thread." Here is something like this, only more seriously tuned, there is a dialogue :). What kind of music is right for him? The answer is a straight trash with a fairly frequent change of rhythm and carbon monograms (both guitar and bass). Do not wait for the ballads - they are not needed here. Only militants are needed. Well, that seems to be the end of the description, if you do not take into account the fact that the album appealed to the public then, thus thickening the purses of musicians
| | Paulos K. - 01.03.2019 Old school thrash from an underrated band!Dont expect nothing less than sharp riffs and endless headbanging. The vocals are less annoying from the debut and overall performance is high!
