Beschreibung:Digitally remastered edition of this 1992 album features remaster completed by longtime Roger Waters/Pink Floyd collaborator and co-producer, James Guthrie. The art has been updated for 2015 by Sean Evans, the creative director of Waters' 2010-2013 The Wall Live tour and movie. An unblinking look at an entertainment-obsessed society, Amused to Death addresses issues that have only grown in complexity and urgency over the past two decades. With Amused to Death, Roger Waters sounded the alarm about a society increasingly and unthinkingly in thrall to it's television screens. Twenty-three years later, Amused to Death speaks to our present moment in ways that could scarcely have been anticipated two decades ago. In 2015, television is just one option in an endless array of distractions available to us anytime, anywhere, courtesy of our laptops, tablets and Smartphone's. With eyes glued to our screens, the dilemmas and injustices of the real world can easily recede from view., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Art Direction: Deadskinboy Design, Co-producer, Recorded By: Nick Griffiths, Engineer: Haydn Bendall, Engineer: Jerry Jordan, Engineer: Stephen McLaughlan, Engineer [Assistant (Studio Mix)]: Joel Plante, Engineer [Assistant (Studio Mix)]: Sean O'Dwyer, Engineer [Assistant]: Andy Bradfield, Engineer [Assistant]: Brian Burrows, Engineer [Assistant]: Chris Brown (8), Engineer [Assistant]: Dary Sulich, Engineer [Assistant]: Jeremy Wheatley, Engineer [Assistant]: John Lowson, Engineer [Assistant]: Marc Moreau, Engineer [Assistant]: Mike Bosley, Engineer [Assistant]: Ross Donaldson, Engineer [Assistant]: Roy Sweeting, Engineer [Assistant]: Steve Heinke, Management: Kate Watkins, Management: Mark Fenwick, Mastered By: James Guthrie, Mastered By: Joel Plante, Mixed By: James Guthrie, Photography By [Additional]: Associated Press, Photography By [Front Cover]: Sean Evans (4), Producer: Patrick Leonard, Producer: Roger Waters, Recorded By [Additional]: James Guthrie, Technician [QSound? The third studio album by English musician Roger Waters, released 7 September 1992. Amused to Death reached No. 8 on the UK Albums Chart, Waters' first Top 10 as a solo artist in his homeland, and a career high of No. 21 on the Billboard 200.

Initially, I had a somewhat negative attitude towards the solo work of Rog, because it was he who was responsible for the breakup of Pink Floyd. And when I heard his album of '87, this negativity only increased. But do not forget that Rog is the author of most Floyd's ideas. And if he could create brilliant things for PF, then why not create a brilliant solo album? So, he is in front of us! The concept of this album is quite complex, the text still takes up the music. The main idea can be understood only in one cover - dependence on TV. I wrote that the texts dominate the music, but this does not mean that there are at least some weaknesses in the musical plan. Not a single passing thing, despite the unhurried development of events, will not be bored for a single minute while listening. It is difficult to single out the strongest things, all compositions at a very high level. Still, how many people are involved in creating the album. But probably the most favorite thing is “It's a Miracle”. Maybe due to a striking solo at the end ?? So, the album earned the highest rating. There is only one wish for Rog: to please the music lovers with new works as soon as possible!
