Wife is the solo electronic music project of multi-instrumentalist producer James Kelly, also known as the mastermind behind forward-thinking acclaimed post-black metal band Altar Of Plagues. Starting with the Stoic EP in 2012, Wife signed with respected electronic music label Tri-Angle Records (The Haxan Cloak, Forest Swords, Evian Christ, etc.) for his debut full length What's Between in 2014 (co-produced by The Haxan Cloak). A more song-oriented, electronic-pop affair, that album quickly established Kelly as a producer of note alongside his aforementioned peers, while he subsequently became more active on the live circuit. With Standard Nature, Kelly has created a bridge between What's Between and the more experimental aura of his first EP.
