| | Beschreibung: | "Opus Eponymous" ist das Debütalbum der schwedischen Band Ghost und erschien 2010 im CD-Format über Rise Above Records / Cargo. Das Album markiert den Beginn von Ghosts einzigartigem Mix aus Heavy Metal, Doom Rock und eingängigen Melodien ? alles inszeniert mit einer okkulten Theatralik. Songs wie ?Ritual?, ?Elizabeth? und ?Con Clavi Con Dio? sind zu Klassikern geworden und prägen bis heute die Live-Shows der Band. Mit seinen düsteren Klanglandschaften und Retro-Vibes ebnete "Opus Eponymous" den Weg für den internationalen Durchbruch von Ghost.
Ghost haben sich rasch als eine der geheimnisvollsten Bands des modernen Metals etabliert: Die Mitglieder bleiben anonym; Frontmann Papa Emeritus (heute Papa Emeritus I) steht im Mittelpunkt des Geschehens.
