Das Werk gilt als eines der besten Alben der Bandgeschichte und überzeugt durch eine Mischung aus aggressiven Riffs und melodischen Elementen sowie die charakteristische rohe Energie von Overkill. Songs wie ?Elimination? oder ?Time to Kill? sind zu echten Klassikern geworden und zeigen das technische Können sowie das Songwriting-Talent der Band eindrucksvoll auf. Produziert wurde das Album von Terry Date (u.a. Pantera), einem renommierten Namen im Metalbereich. Overkill wurde 1980 in New Jersey gegründet und zählt heute zu den Pionieren des Thrash Metals neben Größen wie Metallica oder Slayer. Mit unermüdlichen Tourneen und energiegeladenen Live-Shows hat sich die Band weltweit eine treue Fangemeinde aufgebaut; ihre Diskografie umfasst zahlreiche stilprägende Veröffentlichungen für das Genre. Atlantic Records ist seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 1947 eines der bedeutendsten Labels überhaupt: Ob Rock-, Jazz-, Soul- oder Metalkünstler ?
