"Le Secret" is a seminal EP by the French band Alcest, released in CD format by Prophecy Productions. Originally unveiled in 2005 and re-recorded for this edition, "Le Secret" stands as a cornerstone of the blackgaze genre?a unique blend of atmospheric black metal and shoegaze elements. The two epic tracks on this release transport listeners into ethereal soundscapes filled with haunting melodies and emotional depth, reflecting themes of nostalgia, dreams, and transcendence. This CD offers both the original recordings and their updated versions, allowing fans to experience Alcest?s artistic evolution.
Alcest was founded by multi-instrumentalist Neige (Stéphane Paut), whose visionary approach has made the band pioneers within post-black metal circles. With acclaimed albums such as "Écailles de Lune," "Shelter," and "Kodama," Alcest have garnered international praise for their innovative fusion of genres and deeply emotive music.
Prophecy Productions is renowned for supporting avant-garde artists across darkwave, neofolk, progressive rock, and metal genres. Since its inception in 1996 in Germany, Prophecy has become synonymous with high-quality releases that push musical boundaries while maintaining an unwavering commitment to artistic integrity. | | Manufacturer No.: |
