The Island Years....AMAZING BLONDEL was formed by John Gladwin and Terry Wincott after the break up of too loud Rock band Methusala. They were joined by a talented guitarist Eddie Baird and Amazing Blondel were recommended by the members of the band Free to Island boss Chris Blackwell. After signing to Island Records and Artists, Amazing Blondel quickly produced three albums (Evensong, Fantasia Lindum, England)with the above line up and undertook a series of intensive international and national tours to promote them. With the demise of John Gladwin the band continued as a duo and released 5 other albums before being reunited once again to record their comeback album 'Restoration' in the early nineties. With it's release and a series of tours across the UK & Europe, John decided to call it a day once more and Blondel carried on as a duo.
