After the Neilyoungish "No Code", Pearl Jam came back with "Yield", their 5th album. "Do The Evolution" is the highlight here, they made a cartoon video for it, the first video since the award winning "Jeremy" video. But there are many great songs on this one: Given To Fly, Faithfull, In Hiding etc. The design of this package is very cool, it was nominated for a grammy.

This disc can be seen as a good effort in a long way. The band, with the singer that has chrarsma, has applied a not very new to them style in the songs and their places. Very much songs are catchy and the sound is not very new. It cannot be seen as not oustanding rock, however, because the subjects also are close to society, history.
