"Killing Technology", de Voivod, es un álbum revolucionario que muestra la fusión única entre el thrash metal y elementos progresivos por parte de esta banda canadiense pionera del género metálico experimental desde los años ochenta hasta hoy día. Esta edición especial en formato CD+DVD lanzada por Noise Records incluye no solo las pistas originales remasterizadas sino también contenido audiovisual exclusivo sobre la creación e impacto duradero del disco dentro del panorama musical internacional pesado y alternativo; además destaca su influencia junto a otros trabajos emblemáticos como ?Dimension Hatröss? o ?Nothingface?. El sello alemán Noise Records ha sido fundamental para el desarrollo y expansión global del heavy metal europeo desde su fundación en 1983 apoyando a bandas legendarias como Kreator o Helloween entre muchas otras figuras clave dentro del movimiento rock-metal mundial.
Killing Technology could have quietly been a far superiror album than it actually is, but it’s penalized by an amateurish production work that makes all the songs far less catchier than they actually are, so only a very patient listener may be able to detect actual riffs among the whirlpool of ragged sounds present here, something not even the worst recordings of Venom or Motörhead could give an idea about. Simply put, this album seems pretty incomplete, as it is, and the band would have done better things later, but fans may consider it as an ideal starting point. The most recommended cuts here, paradoxically, are the most “brainy”.

This is a monumental album in a perfect reissue. One of the best techno-thrash albums of all the time in a edition with tones of extra things. A must for every Voivod fan!
