Cet opus marque une évolution majeure dans le style du groupe : il mêle rock atmosphérique à des influences progressives et alternatives pour offrir une expérience d?écoute intense et émotionnelle. Parmi les titres phares figurent « Flying », « Are You There? » ainsi que la poignante chanson-titre « A Natural Disaster ». Les paroles profondes et la richesse musicale abordent des thèmes tels que la perte, l?espoir ou encore la transformation personnelle. Acclamé pour sa capacité à se réinventer depuis ses débuts dans le doom metal jusqu?à devenir pionnier du rock atmosphérique avec notamment les albums salués par la critique comme « Judgement » ou « Alternative 4 », Anathema s?impose sur la scène internationale.

 Alexander S. - 13/09/2019  I liked the album. Even more than A Fine Day to Exit, where everything was simply saturated with doom and hopelessness. In the new release of the British, only light sadness is visible, which spurs interest in life. It's nice to listen to this album while drinking wine and wrapping yourself in a warm soft plaid. Beautiful melodies remotely resembling Radiohead and vocals in places are very much like Tom York. There are notes from Prog Rock (Opeth 'Damnation', for example, will listen very well after it). But, oddly enough, one of the songs (namely, Pulled Under At 2000 Meters A Second) somehow reminded me of Sympho Black in mood. Perhaps the scream, almost turning into scream, influenced my impression, and the melody itself is very disposed to this. If you do not have your own lullaby yet, you can safely take this disc and make it out of it (lullaby).
