Eugene S. - 06/Sep/2023 The second studio album by the English progressive rock band Camel, released on 1 March 1974. Prog Sphere considered Mirage to be the band's best album, writing that it is a prog classic that should be owned by anyone that is a fan of progressive rock.
| | Aleksandr A. - 13/Nov/2022 Very basic product, just a small booklet and a CD. Soundwise the quality is nice, so get it if you like the album!
| | Alexander S. - 22/Aug/2019 Camel's second album is truly brilliant. There is not a single unsuccessful fragment, the material is perfectly matched. Unlike the debut album, there are no faded songs at all. Incredibly beautiful melodies of Latimer and Bardens create a magical fairytale atmosphere, and also create in the imagination pictures of nature in all its glory. With such music, you can do without vocals, although in those rare moments where he is, he is quite out of place. The bass player and drummer also play amazingly, and much more varied than many of their colleagues today. It is impossible to highlight something, since there is not a single extra note. The disc is not inferior to the works of other classics of the genre, and in some ways even surpasses them. This is not a meaningless cutting, but an example of (IMHO) how the correct music should sound.
| | Vitali T. - 12/Dec/2018 This is one of my favorite prog rock bands in general. Almost all the albums were in my collection. Now this one has also been added. And I must say, one of the best. Very melodic, like the rest. This is the second album of the group. It was released in 1974.
