"Jefferson Airplane Takes Off" es el álbum debut del legendario grupo estadounidense de rock psicodélico Jefferson Airplane y fue lanzado originalmente en 1966; esta edición en formato CD permite disfrutar con fidelidad del sonido original que marcó una época clave para el movimiento musical contracultural de los años sesenta en San Francisco y más allá. Incluye canciones destacadas como ?Blues from an Airplane?, ?It?s No Secret? o ?Come Up the Years?, donde se fusionan influencias folk-rock con elementos experimentales pioneros para su tiempo. Tras este lanzamiento inicial exitoso seguirían discos emblemáticos como ?Surrealistic Pillow? y participaciones históricas del grupo ?con miembros icónicos como Grace Slick o Paul Kantner? en festivales míticos tales como Woodstock o Monterey Pop Festival; todo ello consolidó a la banda entre las figuras más influyentes e innovadoras del género.
