"Jefferson Airplane Takes Off" est le premier album studio du groupe de rock américain légendaire Jefferson Airplane, sorti en 1966 et proposé ici au format CD. Cet opus capture l?énergie brute et la créativité qui feront rapidement du groupe une référence majeure du rock psychédélique californien des années soixante-dix naissantes. On y retrouve des titres marquants comme « Blues from an Airplane », « It?s No Secret » ou encore « Come Up the Years », illustrant un mélange unique d?influences folk-rock et d?expérimentations sonores avant-gardistes pour l?époque à San Francisco.
