Formé à Hanovre en 1969, le groupe Eloy s?est imposé comme l?une des figures majeures du prog-rock allemand grâce à ses concepts imaginatifs et ses orchestrations luxuriantes ; ils ont connu une reconnaissance internationale avec notamment les albums « Silent Cries And Mighty Echoes », « Dawn » ou surtout « Ocean ». Leur influence se fait sentir auprès de nombreux artistes de la scène progressive mondiale.
