Considerado uno de los discos más innovadores e imprescindibles del rock alternativo mundial gracias a su mezcla ecléctica entre el punk clásico con elementos funkys y jazzeros junto al spoken word repartidos en nada menos que cuarenta y tres canciones cortas pero intensas cargadas tanto política como musicalmente por sus miembros: D.Boon (guitarra/voz), Mike Watt (bajo/voz) y George Hurley (batería).
Minutemen son reconocidos por su ética ?hazlo tú mismo? así como por revolucionar la composición dentro del movimiento hardcore californiano durante los primeros años ochenta; trabajos previos como ?The Punch Line? o ?What Makes A Man Start Fires?? cimentaron su papel pionero e influencia sobre infinidad de bandas posteriores tanto del ámbito independiente como mainstream internacionalmente.
El sello discográfico SST fue fundado por Greg Ginn ? guitarrista emblemático también líder fundador del mítico grupo Black Flag? convirtiéndose desde entonces en sinónimo absoluto vanguardia subterránea norteamericana impulsando carreras tan relevantes como las de Hüsker Dü , Sonic Youth , Meat Puppets ?y cómo no ¡la propia leyenda sonora creada por los propios MINUTEMEN! | | | N° de títulos: |
