This concept album explores themes of division and longing inspired by the Berlin Wall era, blending evocative instrumentals with poignant lyrics. Notable tracks like "West Berlin," "Long Goodbyes," and the title track highlight the band's ability to create atmospheric storytelling through music.
Camel was formed in 1971 and quickly became one of the leading acts in progressive rock. Their unique blend of jazz, classical influences, and rock has earned them a dedicated global following.
Decca Records is a renowned British record label established in 1929. Over its long history, Decca has been home to legendary artists across genres including classical icons like Luciano Pavarotti as well as groundbreaking pop acts such as The Rolling Stones. With a reputation for high-quality recordings and innovation within the industry, Decca continues to be an influential force in music production worldwide.
This is by far the best Camel album since "Rain Dances", if not the best at all. There is no flirting with "serious" music and attempts to play "fusion". "Stationary Traveler" is just good music that doesn't bother or bother, that is made with feeling and taste, and that needs a thoughtful listener.

A nice and low priced Decca reissue of one of the best albums (released in 1984) from English progressive rock band Camel. It is a concept album centering on the trials of East German refugees attempting to cross the Berlin Wall. Really extraordinary thing, both in music and lyrics. Buy without any doubt!

An excellent concept album - Camel is a progressive band and this is their first album for Decca Label, but this is a great album - I recommend

Otro precioso trabajo de CAMEL, quizás no con la grandeza de sus primeras creaciones, pero con la destreza, la elegancia, y la magia que sólo Andy Latimer sabe entregarnos.
