"Stationary Traveller" est un superbe album studio du groupe britannique de rock progressif Camel sorti en 1984 et proposé ici au format CD. Cet album-concept s?inspire de l?époque du Mur de Berlin et aborde les thèmes de la séparation et du désir d?unité à travers des morceaux instrumentaux évocateurs et des paroles poignantes. Les arrangements sophistiqués mêlent synthétiseurs enveloppants et guitares mélodiques pour créer une ambiance immersive typique du style distinctif de Camel ; des titres comme « West Berlin », « Long Goodbyes » ou le morceau éponyme illustrent parfaitement leur talent narratif musical. Formé en 1971, Camel s?est imposé comme l?une des figures majeures du rock progressif grâce à sa virtuosité instrumentale et ses compositions inventives : leurs albums phares tels que « The Snow Goose » (1975) ou « Moonmadness » (1976) sont devenus cultes auprès d?un public fidèle dans le monde entier. This is by far the best Camel album since "Rain Dances", if not the best at all. There is no flirting with "serious" music and attempts to play "fusion". "Stationary Traveler" is just good music that doesn't bother or bother, that is made with feeling and taste, and that needs a thoughtful listener.

A nice and low priced Decca reissue of one of the best albums (released in 1984) from English progressive rock band Camel. It is a concept album centering on the trials of East German refugees attempting to cross the Berlin Wall. Really extraordinary thing, both in music and lyrics. Buy without any doubt!
